  • What is the location of the Studio?

  • Do you offer Acting Classes?

    Yes. We offer classes for ages 8-10, 11-13, High School, and Adults. Our classes vary from beginner all the way to Advanced Working Actor. Please select Classes.

  • Do you offer Public Speaking & Communication Classes?

    We currently offer quarterly intensives and 1:1 Private Coaching sessions. Please select Classes or Coachings for more information.

  • What if weather is inclement?

    The Studio will send out an email if weather is inclement. Depending on the situation, that specific class may move online. If class is cancelled, Actors will be credited a make-up class.

  • Do you offer audits?

    We do not. If you have questions, feel free to email us at office@codymayoactingstudio.com.

  • What type of Acting Technique is taught?

    The teaching at our Studio is a blend of historic acting techniques, theatre exercises, improv AND current industry approaches and simulations. Everything taught here is based on a proven method or experience that has produced results on and off set. Our curriculum is a distilled combination of the best parts of Cody’s training and experience. We do not teach a specific technique. Our approach to getting the best out of our Performers is tangible, specific, and produces competitive results for an Actor working within the demands of the 21st century Film Industry.

  • Do I have to take Fundamentals before Training?

    Yes. This is a pre-requisite for all Actors at the Studio.

  • I am a Pro Actor with a lot of experience, do I have to take Fundamentals?

  • What is the commitment for TRAINING classes?

    Once you’ve taken Fundamentals, Actors are granted access to our Training classes. We strongly encourage a 3-month commitment as with anything transformation takes time and we want to make that investment in you.

  • What if I need to stop taking an on-going TRAINING class?

    We ask for a two weeks notice if you need to depart class for any reason. There are no refunds.

  • What if I am running late or will be absent?

    The door will lock after 20 minutes past the class start time and we will not be able to grant you access for that specific class. If you need to be absent, please email office@codymayoactingstudio.com asap.

  • What if I book a job and need to leave class?

    Please email us immediately office@codymayoactingstudio.com and CONGRATS!

  • When do we pay for class?

    • Fundamentals requires payment upon registration.
    • On-going training classes require payment for your initial class to complete registration. Payments for the following months are due by the first class of each new month.

  • What happens if I miss a class?

    We understand that things happen in life and cause schedule conflicts. Unfortunately, we do
    not offer make-up classes.

  • What happens if Cody books a job is unable to teach?

    This would be addressed on a case by case scenario, but all students that would be impacted
    by his absence would receive a make-up class credit.

  • Do you offer online classes?

    Online classes will begin in FALL 2022.

  • How long is acting class?

    Young Performer classes run 90 minutes. Adult Performer classes run 3 hours. Adult Performer
    classes should be prepared for class to run over 30 minutes from time to time. All Actors in
    attendance are expected to stay for the duration of class.

  • How can I train at the Studio?

    • All Adult Performers must start at FUNDAMENTALS, which is offered three times a year in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. After that class, students are allowed to be admitted to on-going classes.

  • Will I perform in every class?

    Yes. We are big believers that the only way to learn is by doing.

  • I am NEW to Acting. Is this a good Studio for me?

    Yes. Our personalized approach benefits and challenges beginners and working Actors alike as
    we coach to your specific needs.

  • Can anyone sign up for Industry Professional Workshops?

    No. You must be actively Training at the Studio.

  • Do you offer Private Coaching?

    Yes. Please click on the Coaching tab for more info.

  • Are you able to record and produce a Self Tape Audition?

    Not at this time. However, we do offer Audition Coaching/Reader services. Please click on the
    Coaching tab for more info.

  • Can you help me get an Agent?

    No. However, we can make sure that you are prepared and ready for your moment when the
    time comes.

  • Can you help me get an Audition?

    No. However, we will post viable and professional acting opportunities to our community. It is
    your responsibility to make sure that you have all of your materials and the ability to submit for
    an audition. We will do the work to ensure that you are prepared and ready to nail any audition
    opportunity.

  • Can you help me get on a Professional set in town?

    No. However, our Actors will be trained at a competitive level to be prepared to execute
    auditions.

  • Are you a Production Studio?

    No, we are a training facility.

  • Do you produce Childrens Theatre?

    No, we are focused on training for Film and Television, but we can refer you to some great
    places in town.

  • Can you make me famous?

    No, but we can give you all of the tools to be ready for your moment.
